The Adventures Are Just Beginning

Willow’s World begins in Willow Creek, on a little street called Willow Tree Lane, where an adventurous yellow Labrador named Willow Grace comes home to her new family—and discovers that her greatest adventures are only just beginning.

At its heart, Willow’s World is a series about exploring the world around us, discovering who we are, and learning that even the smallest among us can help make the world a better place.

Through Willow’s eyes, young readers experience the wonder, excitement, uncertainty, and occasional messiness of encountering life for the very first time. With the curiosity and perspective of an elementary-school-aged child, Willow learns as she goes. Some lessons come easily. Others take a little more courage. And, of course, there is always plenty of mischief, laughter, and tail-wagging fun along the way.

Our hope is that Willow’s adventures empower children to recognize the difference they can make in their own lives, backyards, neighborhoods, and communities. By choosing kindness, taking action, caring for others, and having the courage to try, children don’t have to wait until they grow up to be the change they want to see in the world.

And Willow never has to figure everything out alone.

No matter where an adventure takes her—or how differently the day may turn out from the way she imagined—Willow knows that her family is beside her. At the end of each day, she can look back at everything she discovered, every mistake she made, every laugh she shared, and every little way she grew and know:

Today was the BEST DAY EVER!

Because the best days don’t have to be perfect. They are the days when we learn, grow, love, laugh, help one another, and find a little wonder along the way.

We created Willow’s World with the hope that these stories will become the kind of books children carry into their parents’ laps asking to hear “just one more time”—and, someday, perhaps share with children of their own.

Each adventure carries a touch of nostalgia, breathing new life into timeless lessons about courage, kindness, family, friendship, belonging, and becoming exactly who you are.
